Glamour, grace, brilliance, style... You’ll need all of them for this fabulous, family-friendly contest – the ultimate fashion, dance and performance showdown. Who will take the crown? That’s for the audience to decide. This family-friendly festival show is your chance to learn all about vogue – a dance style that imitates model’s poses and movements and has given rise to an incredibly rich subculture. One part of this culture is the idea of ‘ghetto fabulous’ (such as turning bin bags into a high-fashion dress and strutting around in it as if you were wearing Dior). 

Four dancers will battle it out in a dance, fashion and lip-syncing competition. Do you like to pose? Come join in – this is a family-friendly version of ballroom (a voguing competition), and we need your help to crown a winner! An activity from Manchester, the guest city of this year’s La Mercè.
