'Poncia'

Back

Theatre. A show performed by Lolita Flores, based around 'La Casa de Bernarda Alba' by Federico García Lorca.

Synopsis

As the fog closes in, Bernarda Alba’s maid Poncia prays over Adela’s death. The house has been plunged into a sea of silence. Poncia talks to herself but also to them, to Bernarda Alba and her daughters, in a place where words are forbidden.

Ponica is a text written based on the lines spoken by the character Poncia in Federico García Lorca’s play. Luis Luque has taken Poncia’s lines and transformed them into reflections, soliloquies and dialogues with ghosts and shadows.
