"Sidonie" Concert

Live performance of Catalan Graffiti

Pop-rock – Barcelona

A party night at La Catedral with one of the leading local pop-rock bands. With a quarter of a century under their belts, they’ve already switched from English to Spanish, but their 2020 album El regreso de Abba [Abba’s Return] also included a song in Catalan, Portlligat,” and they announced that they would soon be releasing their first album entirely in Catalan. In May, we got a taste of some of these songs on the steps of the Girona Cathedral, and now we’ll finally be able to attend the live performance of the full album Catalan Graffiti.

Sidonie, with Marc Ros on guitar and vocals, Jesús Senra on bass and Axel Pi on drums, have already released an acoustic version of Cançons que maten [Lethal Songs] and singles from this new album, including Et puc odiar molt més [I Could Hate You Much More], a pop song about complicated relationships featuring their trademark fast-paced, rebellious sound. “Mai no arribarem als seixanta” [“We’ll never make it to sixty”], the lyrics say, but it seems they will, and singing too. All their new songs, and maybe a few of their all-time hits, will be performed in a new and eagerly awaited return to La Mercè after nearly ten years.
