Immaterial [ Intangible ] was created as a multidisciplinary performance. Through the language of circus and a poetic, visually rich world of imagery, it pays homage to some of the intangible cultural heritage assets of our country. Immaterial is a celebration of our roots, of the people who strive to preserve them, and of everything that endures in our cultural vision, allowing us to return to our origins.

It is presented by Cia Voël, a circus company founded by Debi Cobos and Jordi Serra, who, over the years, have developed a highly personal style characterised by striking visual poetry and the creation of dreamlike, symbol-laden images. 

Established as a circus company specialising in indoor performances, they are the creators of Ex-libris (2019), Boira , a group performance co-produced and premièred as part of the Grec 2022 programme, and Nanuq (2024), their latest production, co-produced and premièred at the Grec.

They are also developing the Reditus project, a large-scale site-specific work that reinterprets the country’s legends and traditions. As part of this project, they have already premièred Dones d’aigua (2021-2022) in Sant Joan les Fonts, and El pou de la gallina , the opening performance of the Fira Mediterrània de Manresa.
