Giants form part of the most traditional Catalan imaginary. It is said that they arose from the need to attribute things that happened which couldn’t have been caused by human hands to some fantastical being. Stories of giants begins with a brief explanation of the origins and tradition of giants in Catalonia, followed by three stories: El gegant bocagrossa, L’agrà màgica and El gegant del Pi.
