Theatre. The presentation of a judicial inquiry - specifically, the interrogation to which a young judge subjects the story's protagonist, an ageing revolutionary.

Synopsis

A man has fallen from a mountain ledge, perhaps after encountering the person under investigation: an ageing revolutionary who loves rock climbing and alpine landscapes. The encounter might have been a coincidence. The fall, an accident. But the judge finds grounds to believe the meeting was not accidental and to charge the protagonist with murder: they had been close friends and had joined and served together in an armed group until the alleged victim decided to cooperate with the authorities and inform on his fellow fighters. The group was imprisoned, while the friend was exonerated.

The interrogation gradually turns into a battle of words. Loyalty, the endurance of certain ideals, the collapse of revolutionary theory and practice, individualism, nature as a refuge for humanism, everyday resistance, friendship...
