'La Júlia i el tauró’ (Julia and the Shark)

Theatre. A musical that beautifully and sensitively addresses topics such as family relationships, the fragility of the mind and nature.

Synopsis

A young woman on the verge of leaving home to study biology looks back on events from seven years earlier at the Unts lighthouse, located at the far end of the Shetland Islands. She recalls the summer she spent there with her father, who was tasked with repairing the lighthouse, and her mother, a biologist seeking to unlock the secrets behind the Greenland shark's longevity. There she saw a side of her parents she had never known before, discovered that they have secrets and sensed that some kind of fog was spreading through her mother’s mind.

 Mental health, and that pivotal moment when we realise our parents are neither invulnerable nor perfect, lie at the heart of the story.
