‘Blanca desvelada’ [Blanca Revealed]

Synopsis

Two stories interweave in time, but even the characters themselves don’t understand why. The main character faces the challenge of discovering what it is that connects them: a woman who gives birth in a prison just two weeks before being shot as a political prisoner, and a young actress who makes her living performing comic monologues in second rate bars and has an extremely problematic relationship with her mother.

A stark, honest very human text, full of femininity and tenderness, and rooted in reality. A story that weaves its way between fear and forgiveness, desperation and laughter, incredulity and desire; between humour and the struggle against one’s own demons.

Blanca Desvelada es una obra teatral escrita por Alejandra Jiménez-Cascón y dirigida por Montse Bonet.

Dos historias que se entrelazan en el tiempo sin que ni sus personajes entiendan el por qué. La protagonista vivirá el desafío de descubrir la razón que las une: Una mujer que da a luz en una cárcel dos semanas antes de ser fusilada como presa política. Y Blanca, una joven actriz que se gana la vida haciendo monólogos cómicos en bares mediocres y que tiene un importante conflicto con su madre.

Un texto humano. Crudo. Honesto. Lleno de feminidad, de ternura y de realidad. Seres humanos desnudos mostrando su parte más íntima embaucarán a un espectador que quedará atrapado conociéndoles, seducido por su autenticidad y su fuerza.

Un relato que camina entre el miedo y el perdón, entre la desesperación y la sonrisa, entre la incredulidad y el deseo, entre el humor y la lucha contra nuestros propios monstruos.
