Natural sciences workshop. Using various optical instruments, we will take a closer look at the natural world of the Museum’s Terrat Viu.

From 12 July to 7 September, the workshop Nature Up Close – Terrat Viu [Living Rooftop] is taking place at the Museu de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona, an activity  aimed at children aged 7 and over.

How do we see with the naked eye? What if we use an observation instrument? To mark the reopening of the Terrat Viu at the Museum, we can discover the remarkable biodiversity of this space.

We will observe a variety of plants, the inhabitants of the insect hotel, and the life hidden within a single drop of water from the rooftop ponds.

With the help of different optical instruments, we take closer look at elements of nature, observing them closely and focusing on details that encourage us to ask questions and make discoveries.

Com hi veiem a ull nu? I si utilitzem algun instrument d'observació? Amb motiu de la reobertura del Terrat Viu del Museu us convidem a conèixer la sorprenent biodiversitat d'aquest espai. Observarem diverses plantes, els habitants de l'hotel d'insectes i la vida que s'amaga en una gota d'aigua de les basses del Terrat. De la mà de diferents instruments òptics ens aproparem a tots aquests elements de la natura i ens fixarem en detalls que ens ajudaran a fer-nos preguntes i descobertes.
