Mercedes Peón , Galician composer, vocalist and instrumentalist, is known for being one of the most charismatic women in world music today. Her latest album, Deixaas , is the result of in-depth research into the possibilities of sound art in the context of roots music and electronica.

This album is an exquisite blend of artisan and avant-garde music. A musical journey that combines traditional sounds with a contemporary facet inspired by new acoustic spaces. 

Mercedes Peón will be accompanied at La Mercè by Mónica de Nut on synthesiser, vocals and piano, and Ana Fernández offering traditional percussion and vocals.
