The Weimar Republic shook previously unquestionable concepts in German society: gender roles, music, authority, working class struggle, architecture, quantum physics, aesthetics and even technique as artistic expression.
Through photography, painting, sculpture, sceneography, music, interactive games and screenings, the exhibition Uncertain times. Germany between wars offers a cross-cutting vision of a very rich period when figures who stood out included the likes of Thomas Mann, Käthe Kollwitz and Otto Dix. Transformations, major crises, profound instability, tensions and opportunities, in a dialogue between past and present.
