History. The exhibition officially opens the 50th anniversary of the Fundació Joan Miró and looks at the key moments in the history of the museum.
Poetry has just begun. 50 Years of the Miró offers a multifaceted history that is open to interpretation, revisiting the keys that motivated the setting up of the Centre for Contemporary Art Studies (CEAC).
The exhibition explores the circumstances and the people who promoted modernity in Catalonia, with a particular emphasis on the figure of Joan Prats, who was crucial to the creation of the Fundació Joan Miró-CEAC.
It also reflects on the impact of the Spanish Civil War and the Franco regime, as well as the desire to recover the ideals of the modern movement of the 1920s and 1930s.
