Synopsis

Esto no es Jamaica centres around the identity and singular nature of a group of people who live on the outskirts of a big city. A collage made up of stories of the everyday lives, of them and their parents, their dreams of what could have been, what they once had and is now disappearing.

The characters try to show their city as it really is and the challenges it faces, like runaway growth and issues with pollution. It is also about the feeling of being disconnected and lost in a big city, and makes us reflect on the importance of valuing the beauty and authenticity of the place in which we live.
