‘Concert for Peace’

Making a difference. An initiative by the Fundació Victoria de los Ángeles.

The Gran Teatre del Liceu is hosting a new edition of the Concert for Peace on Monday, 2 June. Promoted by the Fundació Victoria de los Ángeles in collaboration with El Liceu, the goal of this initiative is to promote peace and solidarity through music. The money raised will be used to help humanitarian projects by the Red Cross.

The concert features the renowned countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński, who will be acting as ambassador for this edition. Other national and international artists performing altruistically include the soprano Ofelia Sala and the mezzosoprano Helen Charlston. The Orchestra and Choir for Peace will be made up of volunteer musicians and singers from the country’s main music formations.

The music directors include renowned figures such as Josep Pons, Jordi Savall, Antoni Ros-Marbà, Jordi Mora, Daniel Mestre, Maria Mauri, Pedro Pardo and others, contributing to this solidarity event with their experience and artistic sensitivity.
