A spectacular multidisciplinary show, including a performance of Un cor que batega (A Beating Heart), Barcelona’s carol, will mark the 2025 Christmas lights switch-on.

Five, four, three... Follow the countdown, because when you reach zero, the whole city will be decked out in all its Christmas finery. The main avenues of the city and its districts will be transformed to show the festive tide is beginning. And doesn’t this transformation deserve a show to welcome the Christmas season? Created and organised by Brava Arts, a Catalan company with extensive experience in large-scale street events, this show on Passeig de Gràcia will be directed by the actor and director Pep Anton Gómez.  

Come enjoy the aerial dancing of Barcelona company Sacude, a lighting installation created by the Australian company Amigo & Amigo, and hear an original soundtrack composed by the composer, multi-instrumentalist and music producer Dani López Pradas. 

This thrilling show will feature city’s diversity, as reflected by a 40-strong choir singing Un cor que batega, Barcelona’s Christmas carol, composed by the artist Irieix and the music producer Esteban Navarro.

What’s more somewhere in the scenery, amidst the Christmas decorations and the soaring performers, there is a button hidden away. Whoever presses it will unleash magic in the form of designs that will light up Passeig de Gràcia. But beyond the lights on this famous avenue, giant screens will also show the switching on of the “designer lights” created by renowned lighting artists in Plaça de Catalunya, Via Laietana, Carrer d’Aragó, Gran Via and Passeig de Sant Joan. 

Spectacular visual and sound effects in a show full of surprises. The countdown has begun and everyone is invited!
