Cinema. A diverse programme featuring some twenty titles and the first retrospective dedicated to Alfredo Castro.

From 18 to 23 March, Cinemes Girona will be hosting the 4th edition of LATcinema Fest, the Latin American Film Festival of Barcelona.

It offers a diverse, high quality programme that features a cross-section of perspectives, film genres, stories and origins, with films from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Cuba, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Dominican Republic, Chile and Venezuela.

This year the festival will be attended by eleven guest film-makers: Mariana Rondón, Marité Ugás, Mónica Taboada-Tapia, Karla Garrido, Gory Patiño, Juliana Rojas, Marcos Díaz Rojas, Yoel Morales, Alfredo Castro, Antonia Zegers and Carlos Marqués-Marcet.

As a new feature, the 2025 edition will include the first retrospective which will be dedicated to Chilean actor, screenwriter and director Alfredo Castro, a key figure in contemporary Latin American cinema.

The festival will also include a short film session dedicated to Latin American animation.
