Photography. The display includes 124 photos with an impact, offering a clever perspective of the history of war through the eyes of the photojournalist.
From iconic New York model to pioneering Paris photographer, Lee Miller was active in art, fashion and history, making her a key figure in the surrealist movement. With her camera, she captured the drama and humanity of World War II.
Miller became an accredited war correspondent for the US Army in 1944, covering key moments of the war all over Europe. Her powerful images of D-Day, the liberation of Paris and the concentration camps are still vital historical records.
Thanks to the exhibition Lee Miller: Chronicles of War, we can now see a selection of all these images in the FotoNostrum gallery.
