‘The Born at Night’

History. Tours and routes at night to discover what Barcelona was like in the year 1700.

The Barcelona History Museum presents the Born at Night activity cycle, which includes four guided routes and visits (to be repeated on Tuesdays and Fridays) and a further six routes (on Saturdays), from 1 July to 20 September at 8 p.m.

 

Programme:

  • Witches of Barcelona. Women and Persecution in the Modern Age (every Tuesday during the summer)
  • The Guilds of Barcelona (every Wednesday in the summer)
  • The Dark Chronicle of the Born. Conflict, Violence and Justice in 1700 (every Thursday in the summer)
  • Archaeology Night. Looking into the past through the microscope (every Friday in the summer)
  • 1714 Life in Times of War (19 July and 6 September)
  • Barcelona in Times of Plague (12 July and 23 August)
  • The Rec Comtal. How Water Drew the City (26 July and 30 August)
  • Slavery and City. A Colonial Memory of Barcelona (5 July and 16 August)
  • Rear Window. The Neighbours of 1700 (9 August and 20 September)
  • Silenced Voices. Women in 1700 (2 August and 13 September)
