Tribute. An orchestra created to perform the music of Mike Oldfield.

On Thursday 17 July, the Teatre Poliorama will be transformed into a hall of musical nostalgia with Opus One, the orchestra conducted by Xavier Alern, which will pay tribute to Mike Oldfield by performing Tubular Bells and other classics such as Hergest Ridge and Ommadawn, in what is described as 'a careful and respectful tribute that remains true to the original spirit.'

A total of 13 musicians will take to the stage, with Anna Luna as the solo vocalist and Xavi Lite acting as master of ceremonies, in a staging that seeks to faithfully reproduce the details of Oldfield's magical trilogy without resorting to artificial modern touches. The concert also includes pieces from albums such as Five Miles Out, Crises, Discovery and Islands.
