Cinema. A selection of films that look at functional diversity from a different perspective in order to raise awareness of the realities of people with disabilities.

Taking place from 3 to 15 December is a new edition of the Inclús, Barcelona International Disability Film Festival.

As well as promoting audiovisual works on the theme of functional diversity, the festival brings cinema closer to audiences that normally do not have the opportunity to enjoy it.

In addition to the international audiovisual competition, which includes short and feature-length fiction or documentary films, the festival is completed by a series of free parallel activities which aim to raise awareness of diversity.

Inclús, Festival Internacional de Cinema i Discapacitat de Barcelona, promou les obres audiovisuals sobre diversitat funcional, amb l’objectiu de donar a conèixer la realitat de les persones amb discapacitat des d’un punt de vista diferent. A més, comparteix i fomenta l’ús i coneixement de l’accessibilitat audiovisual, sent un festival que apropa el cinema a audiències que normalment no tenen l’oportunitat de gaudir-lo. 

A la Selecció Oficial del Festival hi tenen cabuda curts i llargmetratges, tant de ficció com documentals. També són guardonades les produccions audiovisuals d’entitats. 

Durant el Festival  també es realitzen activitats paral·leles amb la finalitat de donar a conèixer aquesta diversitat: tallers, xerrades o activitats fetes per altres entitats, cursos professionals d’audiodescripció, de llengua de signes, cinefòrums per a escoles, mostres d’innovacions tecnològiques relacionades amb la diversitat funcional… i fins i tot obres de teatre de companyies inclusives.
