‘Ombres’: Alberto Conejero and Xavier Bobés

A session in the Escola de Pensament season entitled Ombres is being held at the Biblioteca Zona Nord – Mària Sánchez on Tuesday, 14 January, at 6.30 pm.

How can we get closer to a world being built to keep a distance? What role do objects and hands have when it comes to discovering a reality that escapes us? Is there space for a word that isn’t a form of grief?

Alberto Conejero is a playwright and poet. Born in Vilches in 1978, he lives between Girona and Madrid, where he has been the director of the Festival de Otoño in recent years. His most recent works of theatre are El mar: visió d'uns nens que no l'han vist mai (2022) and En mitad de tanto fuego (2023). Among many other distinctions, he won the Premi Nacional de Literatura Dramàtica in 2019.

Xavier Bobés is a set creator and researcher. He defines himself as self-taught and passionate about the poetry of objects, which has made him a leading figure in object theatre, and saw him found the object detective collective El Solar in 2015. Among many other projects, he combined with Alberto Conejero to create the piece El mar: visió d'uns nens que no l'han vist mai , about the teacher Antoni Benaiges.
