Synopsis

Two strangers fleeing from a society that oppresses their gender, determined to bury unspeakable secrets. A Galician woman who owns a taxi but does not want to be a taxi driver, a Catalan woman who never parts with a mysterious shoebox, a crime that either could have committed, and the urge to thrive beyond the pressures that have confined them throughout their lives.

Fisterra places at its heart women who have passed the threshold of fertility, women who do not fit society's aesthetic standards, women rebelling against the sentence of remaining invisible and passive when faced with a linear, unpromising future.
