Comedy drama. Marilia Samper brings to the stage the 2013 winner of the Obie Award for Playwriting and the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
Synopsis
In a run-down movie theatre in a town somewhere in Massachusetts where they still haven’t switched to digital format, Sam, Rose and Avery earn just above the minimum wage selling tickets, cleaning the theatre and operating the 35 mm projector. The economy is depressed and so are they.
Despite their frustrated ambitions, they do their best to survive in the sad decadence of their surroundings. In the empty corridors of the cinema, they share their minor battles and not so minor heartbreaks. More attractive life stories than those of the lousy reruns showing on the screen.

En un cine atrotinat d’una ciutat qualsevol de Massachusetts on encara no s’han passat al format digital, Sam, Rose i Avery guanyen just per sobre del salari mínim venent entrades, netejant la sala i fent funcionar el projector de 35 mm. L’economia està deprimida i ells també. Malgrat les ambicions frustrades, intenten sobreviure a la trista decadència del seu entorn. Entre els passadissos buits del cinema, comparteixen petites batalles i desamors no tan petits. Unes històries vitals més atractives que les vulgars pel·lícules de reestrena que ocupen la pantalla.
