Sailing. The international adapted regatta is to be held in Catalonia for the first time

The Kakapo Open Race is an international adapted sailing regatta promoting a sea without barriers.

The competition coincides with the Spanish adapted and inclusive sailing championship, enabling participants to score points in both competitions.

With over 50 people signed up to take part, the regatta promises to set new participation records with a Hansa 303 competition that includes individual and mixed categories.

The Kakapo Open Race is organised by the Catalan Sailing Federation and the Fundació Mi Alex, with the support of Barcelona Capital Nàutica.

The Kakapo Open Race is an international adapted sailing regatta promoting a sea without barriers. The championship backs diversity and the values of sailing, as one of the few sports where everybody can take part in equal conditions, regardless of their abilities. 

The regatta is organised by the Catalan Sailing Federation, the Fundació Barcelona Capital Nàutica and the Fundació Mi Alex.
