‘Race Village’ at the Moll de la Fusta

Leisure and culture. A free zone open to the public for following the America's Cup and where gastronomy will play a leading role.

The Race Village for the Luis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup, located at the Moll de la Fusta, will be the main space for meeting up, and a hub for leisure, culture and gastronomy.

During the regattas, the Race Village will be receiving the yachtsmen and yachtswomen on the main stage, with a show aimed at bringing the teams and fans together. And this same setting will also be hosting a programme of cultural and arts activities.

Visitors will also have the chance to sample local products in the grill area, with fresh fish from the Fishermen's Guild of Barcelona, and meat and fresh vegetables from the Mercat de la Barceloneta, which can be cooked in situ. And visitors will be able to enjoy authentic Catalan cuisine thanks to the participation of renowned restaurants, with more than 40 professionals from the sector.

This activity is part of the Cultural Regatta, the programme of activities promoted by Barcelona City Council to go with the America’s Cup being held in Barcelona.

Race Village will be set up at Moll de la Fusta every day of the competition (from 22 August).

At weekends, from Friday to Sunday from 8 pm onwards, the city of Barcelona will be programming more than 30 events on the main stage in the Village, eight of which will be chosen through a specific call for proposals launched by Ciutat Vella, with the aim of guaranteeing opportunities for creative expression in the district, and in the La Barceloneta neighbourhood.

Between 30 August and 20 October, the stage at Race Village will brought to life with an extensive cultural programme coordinated by the Barcelona Institute of Culture (ICUB). In the afternoons and early evenings from Friday to Sunday there’ll be a wide-ranging cultural programme for all audiences, with some twenty performances that aim to bring visibility to the huge potential of professionals in music and the street arts, as well as all sorts of events related to the city's popular culture.
