Synopsis

L'amor venia amb taxi is the new musical by La Cubana, a deserved tribute to amateur theatre in Catalonia, highlighting the importance that amateur companies have had in the country’s cultural fabric. As an excuse, they’ve chosen a comedy tangle. Rafale Anglada’s play represents most amateur theatre groups in Catalonia, and as we know, with La Cubana nothing is what it seems. They promise a musical “made in Cubana” (their way), and produced “the Catalan way”, combining the musical genre with all the typical “ingredients” of the company; comedy, surprises, audience participation, colour, a frantic pace and, most of all, plenty of fun.
