Official opening of the new Via Laietana

Community festival. There will be activities for families, music and workshops.

The new Via Laietana will be officially opened on Sunday 29 June with a community festival.

Throughout the day on Sunday, from 10.30 am to 6.00 pm, Via Laietana will be the setting for a whole host of family activities, music and workshops, inviting citizens to come and discover the newly revamped street, a street that is now much more pleasant and user friendly to promote walking, sustainable mobility and local commerce.

The new Via Laietana has been transformed into a civic street for citizens that aims to showcase the cultural and commercial facilities found there and encourage city residents to visit Ciutat Vella.

Once the community festival is over, on Sunday night, Via Laietana will be opened to traffic in both directions.
