‘T-100: A hundred years of the metro’

History of transport. The exhibition presents the advent, consolidation and growth of the metro as a means of urban transport brimming with the past, the present and the future.

Room 3 at the Palau Robert is hosting the exhibition T-100. A hundred years of the metro, marking the centenary of Barcelona’s metro system.

The metro has grown over the course of a century, contributing to and shaping the city. All of Barcelona’s neighbourhoods and its metropolitan area have become connected thanks to the metro, which transforms the places it reaches in the urban area.

Besides facilitating our mobility, the network that has been developed all this time also forms part of our daily life and constructs our collective consciousness.

History and the technologies of the future go hand in hand in the metro of the present, allowing us to discover what we were like, what we are like now and who we want to be in the future.

Admission to the exhibition is free of charge and open to everybody.

Del 31 d'octubre de 2025 a l'1 de febrer de 2026, la sala 3 de Palau Robert acull l'exposició T-100. Cent anys de metro, una proposta de la Direcció general de Difusió, del Departament de la Presidència, i del Departament de Territori, Habitatge i Transició Ecològica, per commemorar el centenari del metro de Barcelona.

Comissariada per Sergi Martín i Iago Blasi, l'exposició presenta l'adveniment, consolidació i creixement del metro com a eina de transformació urbana curulla de passat, present i futur. L'accés a l'exposició és lliure i gratuït.

El metro de Barcelona ha fet 100 anys. Durant un segle ha anat creixent i ha contribuït a donar forma a la ciutat. Tots els barris de Barcelona i la seva àrea metropolitana s'han connectat gràcies al metro, que transforma els llocs on arriba en territori urbà.

La xarxa que s'ha teixit durant tot aquest temps, a més de facilitar-nos la mobilitat, forma part de la nostra vida quotidiana i construeix el nostre imaginari col·lectiu.

La història i les tecnologies del futur es donen la mà en el metro del present, i ens permeten descobrir com érem, com som i què volem ser.
