Dialogues with Nature - Artistic intervention at the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion, by Regina Saura and Rita Roqueta

Back

The artistic intervention Dialogues with Nature transforms the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion in autumn.

In this time of transition, when the light becomes softer and the landscape breathes a different stillness, Regina Saura's painting breaks free from the canvas and expands into the air, water and reflections. In the hand of Rita Roqueta, the painting becomes living matter, adopts the gesture of nature and integrates into the visual landscape of the Pavilion as if the Pavilion itself continued the artist's stroke.

Dialogues with Nature is born of the impact of seeing a forest burn next to her home and suggests a pause: an invitation to look more slowly, to listen to what is not seen and to understand what is often not explained.

A return to the essence of what is alive. Sound, dance and light come together as extensions of the same breath to which they invite us to add our voices to create and grow a new forest day by day: the Forest of Messages.

The work changes every moment it is looked at, the floating painting breathes with nature and transforms with light, water and time. The transparencies vary with the shadows and reflections of the Pavilion and the words or phrases received move the Forest of Messages in real time.
