How are our identities and social relations transformed when our environment changes? What happens to the emotional ties that connect us to the neighbourhoods we've lived in throughout our lives when we see them change to accommodate new interests, whether economic or tourism related?

The La meva Barcelona series looks at the impact of these processes on everyday life, focusing on local communities, the loss of spaces of collective memory, uprooting and the reshaping of urban identities. The emotional impact of seeing the neighbourhood transformed, often to the detriment of those who have spent their whole lives there, and how this transformation affects the sense of belonging, social networks and community cohesion, will be discussed.
