Latitudes - A programme of local Latin American theatre in Barcelona

Local theatre. In this second edition of the programme, the guest countries are Argentina and Chile.

Latituds is a Latin American fringe theatre programme held in Barcelona, launched with the aim of bringing Latin American theatre to Catalonia and vice versa.

It will run from April to June in three theatres in the On el teatre batega network: La Badabadoc, Sala Fènix and El Maldà.

They’ll be hosting six shows from Argentina and Chile's well-known fringe theatre scene.

  • Después del río, by Matías Katz and Checho Castrillón
  • Hermanas Castillejos, by Micaela Minervino and Victoria Bilbao
  • Apología, by Cristian Palacios
  • MÉDIUM. Chile estalla en la distancia, Teatro Apátrida
  • Alma (Esto no es un musical), by Clara Dell'Oro and Camilo Zaffora
  • Tebas Land, Teatro Timbre 4

As well as the shows, the programme includes two training workshops:

  • El Testimoni com a suport per a la creació (Testimony as creation support), led by Chilean actor and director Omar Morán at the Sala Fènix, on 10 and 11 June. 
  • El actor, la creación y la escena (The actor, the creation and the stage), run by the educational team from Timbre 4, from 1 to 4 July in Espai Robrenyo.
