44th La Mercè Fun Run

Back

Fun run. The registration period to take part is now open.

As part of the programme of festivities for La Mercè, the streets of Barcelona are set to fill with runners again on Sunday, 18 September, celebrating the city’s local festival through sport.

Known as the Cursa de la Mercè, the run will adopt its usual 10 km route. The event starts in Av. Reina Maria Cristina at 8.30 am and makes its way around the city centre, taking in iconic spots such as Av. Paral·lel, Pg. Sant Joan and Pl. Universitat.

This year’s run also comes with the Cursa Inclusiva 2K Mercè 22, an adapted 2 km version with the goal of all people with disabilities or reduced mobility also being able to enjoy La Mercè through sport.

The registration period will remain open until the 8,000 places for this year’s run have been filled, with runners paying a symbolic registration fee of 5 euros (chip not included). All the money raised will go to the Fundació Catalana d'ELA Miquel Valls.

You can sign up to take part in the run here.
