Synopsis

What kind of woman manages to defy the laws of gravity and of society?

La filla de l'aire takes us on a journey from the present to the past through the story of international dance star, Roseta Mauri. The true story of her life as a child prodigy, ballerina, teacher and her final years as an old lady. From her early career in Reus and Barcelona, she become the principal dancer at the Paris Opera, and a muse for painters such as Degas and Manet, the composer Léo Delibes or the French Culture Minister, Antonin Proust. A life of passion, hard work and sacrifice and huge success in a world that is often hostile, but where the extraordinary is always possible.
