Noir fiction. Participating will be some notable international figures, including Yasmina Khadra, Arnaldur Indriðason, Ivy Pochoda, Benjamin Black, Donna Leon, Chris Whitaker, Sara Barquinero, Ferran Grau and François Thomazeau.
BCNegra, Barcelona’s international noir fiction festival, is marking its 20th anniversary from 10 to 16 February in an edition with the slogan Barcelona – Marsella – Nàpols, with over 45 renowned authors taking part.
The activities devoted to the three featured cities offer a profound look at their noir fiction and cultural parallels. Yet the festival also shows the wealth of the noir genre by exploring topics such as social denouncement, memory, violence and betrayal.
The programme includes round tables and discussions, as well as film screenings, music, theatre, workshops and reading clubs.
