7th Stage of the 104th Volta Ciclista a Catalunya

Back

Cycling. Big names such as Primoz Roglic, Mikel Landa, Egan Bernal, Richard Carapaz and Juan Ayuso are all confirmed participants in the Volta, which finishes in Barcelona.

The 104th edition of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya will bring together 24 of the world’s top teams for a total of seven stages connecting Sant Feliu de Guíxols to Barcelona, from 24 to 30 March. The 2022 and 2023 champion of the Tour de France, Jonas Vingegaard, will not be there as he has not yet recovered from his fall in the fifth stage of the Paris-Nice race.

For reasons beyond its control, the timetable and route of the last stage of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya on 30 March will change, such that it will both start and end in Barcelona.

The pilot's arrival in Barcelona will be moved up one hour, and the route will be shortened from 136 to 88 km, eliminating the ride through Molins de Rei, L’Alt de Corbera and Sant Vicenç del Horts, among others.

The six laps around the Montjuïc track will remain exactly the same so onlookers can experience a total spectacle on the magic mountain of Montjuïc. The riders will enter Barcelona at around 12 noon, and the stage will end on Avinguda Rius i Taulet at around 1 pm.
