16th Barcelona Oral Storytelling Festival, 'Munt de Mots'

Oral narration. Barcelona fills with stories, narratives, legends and tributes for two weeks, this year under the slogan ‘Words explain to us’.

The 16th Barcelona Oral Storytelling Festival, Munt de Mots, is being held from 11 to 29 October under the slogan Words explain to us.

The programme brings together activities for all audiences, with shows for families and children, session for adults, travelling narrations and story jams.

Some notable activities include Els contes de la pirata rata (Laura Asencio), inaugurating the programme on Saturday 11 October at the Centre Cívic Casa Groga; Contes Saltarines with Alejandra Hurtado (Chile); Racons per Escoltar, a travelling narration around the Gràcia neighbourhood, with Li Morenita and Rubén Martínez Santana, turning the city into a living stage for stories; De la mar a la terra, by the Irish narrator Brian Gilligan, a musical journey between the sounds of the sea and the land, and Cantareiras, by the group Furafollas, at the Ateneu Roig.
